Can't create a hot backup of an Oracle Database

I need a solution

Hi guys...

We bought this software to create schedule backups and hot backups of our databases.

All our SQL works great (apparently) but the Oracle database can be backed up.

In the user guide it says:

To create a hot backup

◆ Use Symantec System Recovery to create a recovery point without the need
to stop or restart the database.
Symantec System Recovery instantaneously snaps a virtual volume recovery
point from which the recovery point is created.

I did that and i get the following error:

Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job: Drive Backup of System Reserved (*:\), (C:\), DATAPART (D:\).

Error E7C3000F: Device \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy8 cannot read 8192 sectors starting at LBA 135202016.

Error EBAB03F1: Following Operating System error occurred while performing requested operation: 'The system cannot find the file specified.'

Details: 0xE7C3000F

I've been reading and according to that, it says that my drive is about to fail because it can't read the sector specified above.

If i shutdown the database, it works great :S.

I need this to be a schedule hot backup.

Please any solution would be great.

Thanks!!!

Regards.

Francisco.
