We have given SSR 2013 For Linux edition to a customer. Our sales people didnot notice that this does not support disimmilar hardware.
Now customer wants us to show the recovery to disimmilar hardware and resolve the issue.
Need some out of box support here.
We have taken backup of /boot , /system and /U01 (This /system and /u01 is part of the LVM)
Tried option1: Created multiple disks like sda, sda1, and restored the data, but boot fails with error unable to find the rg0 (LVM)
Tried option 2: Booted from operating cd and manually created partition and created LVM Partition
Booted with Symantec recoverd cd and tried to mount the recovery point, but we get an error cannot restore to mounted volume or partion.
Need some help to resolve this issue.
